Cancellation and refunds
1. The charges
Setup is $129, charged once when the site goes live. The subscription is $89 a month, billed in advance. Both numbers are part of the price.
2. How to cancel
Use our contact form from the address on the account, or cancel in the app at app.htmlhosts.com when that control is available. We may ask you to confirm you are allowed to act for the business. There is no cancellation fee in this draft.
3. When cancellation takes effect
Cancel before the next monthly charge and we will not bill the next month. The site stays up through the month you have already paid for. We do not treat a late webhook, by itself, as a request to delete the domain.
4. Setup fee
Counsel must set the refund rule. Proposed starting point, not a promise: if we take the setup fee and the site never goes live on your domain because of our failure, we refund the setup fee. If the site did go live, the setup fee is not refunded, except where the law requires it. Do not rely on that sentence until counsel adopts it.
5. Monthly fee
Proposed starting point: the current month is not refunded when you cancel mid-month, because the site stays up through that month. A charge that was a clear error (duplicate charge, wrong amount) should be reversed. Counsel must confirm this against card-network rules and state law. Write to us within a reasonable time; this draft suggests 30 days and does not make that a statute.
6. Your domain and a copy of the site
You keep the registrar. We remove our hosting records on the schedule we agree, without taking mail records unless those records are ones we added and you want them removed. Proposed export: a copy of the public pages and the assets you own, within five business days after we verify the request. The five-day figure comes from the business plan and is not a signed commitment until counsel adopts it. The export is the site, not a portable copy of billing, analytics, or our internal notes.
7. Failed payments
If a monthly payment fails, we retry and we tell you. There is a grace period before the site is suspended. This draft does not set the number of days; operations must publish the number counsel approves. Suspension does not mean we display a banner that says the business did not pay, and it does not transfer your domain to us.
